Summary

At Archaeology Warwickshire our people will always come first. By looking after each other we have built a strong team and we continue to thrive because our clients are confident that we will deliver what they need when they need it.

We are now looking to recruit two more permanent Archaeologists who have significant experience in commercial archaeology. Because our business model relies on team members being adaptable, you won’t always be in the field as you will also be needed to undertake post-excavation, analysis and report writing.

We positively encourage all staff to develop skills and specialisms to assist with project delivery. In fact, our Archaeologists can expect to contribute to WSIs and DBAs, carry out watching briefs, assist on major evaluations and excavations, undertake finds and environmental processing, contribute to, and writing, fieldwork reports and preparing archives.

We believe in our regional expertise and we are keen to develop the specialist of tomorrow. We invest in our staff with extensive and fully funded training, rewarding commitment with opportunity for personal development and by encouraging a healthy work-life balance not predicated on crisscrossing the country. If you share our beliefs and you are looking for a new challenge, we would like to hear from you. We will support you to be the best you can be.

If you would like an informal chat or any further information regarding what it is like to work at Archaeology Warwickshire, please do not hesitate to contact anyone in our team.

You will work from our base in Warwick and fieldwork will mostly be within one hour of the office. You will be issued you with a smart phone and internet enabled Microsoft Surface Pro to allow you to work from home when you need to and we will do our best to enable you to work the hours that suit you and your situation.
