The building, originally the Beau Nash cinema, was built in 1920, as the first purpose-built cinema in the West of England. Komedia purchased and refurbished it, keeping true to its original design. The space is mostly used for comedy and music performances, but we have exclusive access this evening.

Komedia is a wonderfully accessible venue, with step-free access, ground floor accessible toilets, even step-free access to the dance floor and stage area. Full details can be found here.

DJ HippocampusBack by popular demand!

Professor John Schofield (University of York) will be represented at the conference by his alter-ego Hippocampus, performing a DJ set for the conference party on Thursday night. As always, Hippocampus will have something for everyone, reflecting the DJ's own musical tastes, from pop to techno, punk to disco and glam to heavy rock...
