C 'Peasy' D Series - Site Formation Processes: A Refresher
Food and drink are included
Sponsored by PCA.
(Booking is required to secure a place at the event)
This lecture represents a refresher course on site formation processes and how they impact upon the formation and preservation of the archaeological record. Using case studies that are applicable to the London area, it focuses on how careful consideration of these processes throughout the excavation and post-excavation process can improve results. Critical application of site formation theories will boost the quality of on-site recording, get the most from the available dating evidence and improve the stratigraphic narrative. A must for any keen field archaeologist or supervisor!
