PERCS provides bespoke palaeoenvironmental and geoarchaeological support to the commercial and academic sectors. Focussing on the application of micropalaeontology to historic, prehistoric and geological archives, PERCS undertake environmental and associated landscape reconstructions through the study of microfossils preserved within sedimentary deposits, namely diatom and pollen analyses. Alice is an international expert with over 19 years of experience in a range of sectors and clients, working in over 30 countries, primarily within Europe, throughout Africa, Centra Asia, the Middle East and Canada. Alice specializes in the participatory identification, characterisation and long-term management of cultural resources, covering tangible and intangible elements. The bulk of Alice’s work includes cultural heritage studies supporting permitting (Environmental and Social Impact Assessment [ESIA]) and Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD) / advisory services for developers and ‘Lenders’ to support international finance objectives and compliance. Alice has successfully delivered many bespoke mitigation strategies, in conjunction with affected communities and other stakeholders, supporting heritage issues connected to resettlement. Alice is familiar with local consultation programmes and survey in remote and challenging contexts, and an expert in local capacity building and indigenous consultation. She has worked directly with the World Bank, EBRD, ABD, AfDB, IFC and other international Lenders.
