Affiliate members are expected to support and work towards the CIfA Code of conduct.As they are not yet professionally accredited, we do not assess technical or ethical competence and no references are needed.
Affiliate members need to be at least one of the below
- interested in archaeology, but not a student, and don't yet meet the criteria for accreditation
- volunteer in any role that is related to the historic environment eg on fieldwork projects, for museums, for societies etc
- work in another profession who support the work of CIfA eg heritage crime, construction, ecology, museums etc
- interested in the work of CIfA and subject areas of our Special Interest Groups

Subscription fees
Current subscription fees are below for 1 April to 31 March the following year. These are based on the grade of membership.
You can choose to pay your subscription in a lump sum or by direct debit over 10 instalments from June to March the following year.
