Heneb: Dyfed Region (Head Office)

Heneb is dedicated to the effective protection, investigation, recording and promotion of the historic environment in Wales and beyond.
On 1 April 2024 the four Welsh archaeological trusts: Clwyd-Powys, Dyfed, Glamorgan-Gwent and Gwynedd merged to form a pan-Wales organisation - Heneb: the Trust for Welsh Archaeology. The regional expertise and regional service delivery which was the hallmark of the four trusts continues under the auspices of Heneb. Regional offices remain in use and the key staff delivering our services has not changed.
Our archaeological field services team is the leading archaeological practice in Wales, and one of the longest-established archaeological contractors in Europe. We provide independent, comprehensive, and high-quality archaeology and cultural heritage services for a diverse range of clients.
Our regional historic environmental advisory services teams maintain the regional Historic Environment Records, and provide planning advice for developers and local authorities, and heritage management solutions for farmers and landowners.
Our engagement and social inclusions teams deliver innovative public archaeology, community heritage, education and training programmes.
