Consultancy details
I provide archaeological consultancy for planning and research projects, with a commitment to transparent, accessible, and research-informed engagement with the historic environment. I particularly enjoy working with smaller developers, landowners, and community or research-focused projects, where clear communication and proportionate advice can make a real difference.
My work includes Desk-Based Assessments (DBAs), Heritage Statements, Archaeological Impact Assessments, and Written Schemes of Investigation (WSIs), delivered as clear, NPPF-compliant reports. I draw on a background in landscape archaeology and GIS analysis to situate sites within their wider spatial and historical contexts, including the assessment of heritage asset setting, supporting well-grounded and defensible interpretations of significance and impact.

Mr Jonathan Dempsey (MCIfA)
