Finds Group Annual General Meeting and talk

You are invited to join the Annual General Meeting of the CIfA Finds Group on Thursday 26 November from 13:00 - 15:00 as we look over the successes of the last year and outlay plans for the next. 

We will also feature a presentation from Nicola Emmerson and Johanna Thunberg on the safe storage of archaeological metal small finds. This often involves the use of desiccated storage in plastic storage boxes with silica gel. This talk will explain how decisions in the selection and use of boxes and desiccant can affect the long-term survival of the objects and the time and resource commitment for archive management. 

Nicola and Johanna teach and research conservation at Cardiff University and specialise in the corrosion of iron and copper alloys.

Event pricing

This event is free for all CIfA members to attend; this includes CIfA Finds Group supporters.

There is a fee of £5 for all non-members of CIfA.

If you are a not a CIfA or Group member you can become a Finds Group Supporter for an annual fee of £15 to attend this and any future digital bitesize CPD and networking event run by the Finds Group for free.
