Advocacy webinar: NPPF debrief & National Model Planning Conditions (England)
The revised updated NPPF was published on 17 August. In it, the Government sets out a new policy relating to National Model Planning Conditions (NMPCs), which it intends to develop in the coming months. This suite of model conditions will be designed to help streamline consenting of planning applications. This session aims to get ahead of a future consultation process and will challenge members to identify key types of archaeological condition that will need to be covered by NMPCs, what differences of approach currently exist, and whether we will be able to propose agreed suggestions. We will also seek to identify what challenges to implementing NMPCs will exist.
The session is specifically designed to let members share their expertise and shape CIfA’s advocacy position. We are especially keen to hear from local authority advisors as well as consultants/contractors with experience of conditions. However, all members are welcome to listen to the short presentation and discussion for CPD. The presentation will include a short reflection on the new NPPF.
