Description

A panel discussion featuring presenters from across the historic environment sector that will explore innovation in practice, specifically in relation to developer-led/planning projects. The discussion will focus on the below themes with opportunities for audience participation via Q&A.

  • What is innovation in relation to commercial archaeology?
  • Why do we innovate in commercial archaeology?
  • Barriers to innovation – finding out about new / innovative practice; financial / structural barriers
  • What’s new with you? What recent innovations in commercial archaeology would the panel like to share?
  • Actions to improve innovation uptake – what can we recommend to help embed innovation in standard archaeological practice?
