MOLA is seeking experienced osteologists to join a major collaborative project in London focused on the analysis of large assemblages of human remains.
Working as part of a specialist team, you will contribute to research into the health, disease, demography and burial practices of late post-medieval populations in London and beyond through the identification, recording, analysis and interpretation of human remains.
Applicants must hold a degree in archaeology or a related discipline together with a postgraduate qualification in osteology or a related subject. Candidates should have demonstrable experience of analysis-level recording of human remains and experience working within a commercial archaeology environment. Excellent bone identification skills, good communication and IT skills, and the ability to work accurately to deadlines are essential.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant research project within one of the UK’s leading archaeological organisations. Training will be provided in MOLA systems and reporting procedures where required.
Start dates are anticipated from 1 July 2026.
