Making the most of my accredited degree: getting started as a graduating archaeologist

Registration is closed for this event
Use your accredited degree to stand out from the crowd and learn more about making the most of your degree, adding to your experience and how you can use your student CIfA membership to as you start your career in archaeology.

An accredited degree helps you stand apart from the crowd in a busy jobs market by giving you the skills that employers want from graduates. In 2020, the sector now has the first accredited graduate cohort.

This presentation will be led by CIfA’s Professional Development & Practice Coordinator Anna Welch ACIfA and CIfA’s Membership Engagement Coordinator, Meg Keates, and will take you through what having this recognised degree means for you, and how you can make the most of it whilst you are still at university.

The presentation will also include a short section on how CIfA fits into the wider picture of professional archaeology and importantly what you can do with the free student membership that you can apply for as an accredited degree student. The session will end with a Q&A and an opportunity to give feedback.

Students who are not enrolled on an accredited degree are also welcome to attend as the session will include tips on how you can add to your experience whilst still studying.

This session is free of charge for CIfA members.

Zoom details have now been sent out to all registrants - if you haven't received these, do please check your junk mail folder, or contact: conference@archaeologists.net
