Buildings Archaeology Group tea break

Registration is closed for this event
Join the CIfA Buildings Archaeology Group for an informal lunchtime chat

Description

Grab a cuppa and join the CIfA Buildings Archaeology Group from 12:30 until 13:15 for an informal chat about the fascinating world of buildings archaeology. These tea break sessions will be an opportunity to explore a range of topics, connect with fellow members, share experiences, and learn from each other's expertise.

This is the second of the lunch break talks we are programming for the year ahead which shall all explore the issue of assessing significance. Other sessions are planned for April and June on archaeological and architectural significance including their relationship to Conservation Principles.

Our plan is for members of the committee to present on-line talks but to broaden this out as the year progresses. The presentations for our session shall be short and focused and allowing time for discussion.

This session's agenda will be as follows

  • Introduction – the policy and guidance context
  • Case studies – huts and blocks at Bletchley Park
  • Discussion

We welcome everyone regardless of their level of pre-existing knowledge.

We're always looking for ways to improve these lunchtime chats. Got a suggestion for a future topic or format? Feel free to let us know when you attend!

This session counts as 45 minutes of CPD if it meets objectives on your personal development plan.
