The Role
Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust was established as a charity in 1988 to conserve and promote the archaeological and architectural heritage of Perth and Kinross for the benefit of residents, visitors, and future generations.
We are seeking an experienced historic building professional to lead on the delivery of our Perth City Heritage Fund. Funded since 2012 by Historic Environment Scotland, and delivered in partnership with Perth & Kinross Council, the scheme has made a significant contribution to regenerating Perth through conservation of key historic buildings. The post-holder will also oversee delivery of our Community Heritage Grant scheme and annual Doors Open Day, supported by our Outreach and Skills Officer.
The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification in historic building conservation, architecture, town planning, or a related discipline, and a sound knowledge of historic building conservation best practice. A good understanding of the historic environment’s role in regeneration is required, along with strong communication, administration, and financial management skills.
Based in Perth, and with some homeworking, the post offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within a small, dynamic organisation that makes a big impact.
Terms and Conditions: 36-hour week, 25 days annual leave plus 7 days public holidays, flexible working hours, hybrid office/homeworking, 6% employer pension provision.
