Summary: Session 2 is being held in collaboration with ALGAO: Scotland and covers the practical detail of how archaeological conditions are applied to planning applications by local authority archaeologists, looking at the basic principles involved and the pragmatic issues relating to monitoring, enforcement and dissemination of results.
This second session will feature a presentation by Bruce Mann, the Regional Archaeologist for Aberdeenshire, Moray and Angus Councils and the Chair of ALGAO Scotland. Bruce is particularly interested in regional research frameworks and how these can enable the better understanding of the huge volume of data produced by planning-led archaeology.
As a CPD event it affords CIfA members an opportunity to achieve the aims in their Personal Development Plan (PDP) and contributes towards CPD hours.
