Scottish archaeological research in progress

Scotland’s annual Archaeological Research in Progress (ARP) national conference is to be hosted by the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland this year on Saturday 25 May 2013. The Society event is held in Edinburgh, at the Royal Society of Edinburgh, and aims to cover recent archaeological projects from across Scotland of any period.

Organisers are keen to include projects in the programme for the event. Deadline for submissions is the 8 February 2013 to allow for production of a programme and booking form and advertising in the Society Newsletter in March. You will need to provide a brief description of the project along with a title. The event will be recorded and placed online free to view afterwards (see ARP 2011 for an example).

In addition, all offers of funding or other resource towards the conference would be very much welcome, and will be rewarded by full acknowledgement on the website, as well as on the day and in any marketing materials including the programme and booking form, it may be possible to offer a couple of free depending on the offer.

Please send submissions to the Society's director, Dr Simon Gilmour, at director [at] socantscot.org. For more information, please go to the event webpage.
