CIfA comments on draft secondary legislation that will be introduced to implement the provisions of the Historic Environment Scotland Act 2014. This seeks to ensure that the regulations in question do not inadvertently reduce levels of protection for the historic environment and facilitate rather than impede the role of Historic Environment Scotland in supporting and enabling the delivery of the shared strategic vision in Scotland’s Historic Environment Strategy.
