CIfA Australia Group draft proposal

The formation of a CIfA Australia Group would try to help enhance archaeology in Australia, and create a professional standards framework for archaeological practice, whilst working with other relevant associations, societies and university groups within Australia. It would work to represent the views, aspirations and professional requirements of its members, to work with national, state, and university-based associations, organisations, groups and government bodies within Australia to campaign for improvements in archaeological practice and expertise within the profession.
The Group would serve as a platform to provide up-to-date news and information to its members, as well as provide a voice for its members in matters associated with Australian Archaeology to the CIfA Board of Directors.

For the CIfA Australia Group to be considered by the Board of Directors, we need to submit a formal proposal together with the names of at least 15 members who would like to become a member of the group and/or serve on the committee.

If you are interested and would like to help form this group, please contact Samuel Dix on the details below or email groups [at] archaeologists.net
