Chartered Archaeologist EGM debate

Following feedback from members, a new system of online voting was introduced at the 2018 CIfA AGM to enable those unable to attend to participate in decision making. An online vote is currently open on the resolution to introduce a new Chartered Archaeologist grade of accreditation which will be debated at an EGM on 26 April, at the CIfA Conference in Leeds, see the EGM page for details www.archaeologists.net/members/egm/2019.

As many members will be voting online, without the benefit of the EGM debate, we have sought opportunities for members to express their views through consultation events and via discussions on various social media platforms. You can read some of the discussions, and an alternative view from Chiz Harward, MCIfA via the following links

The questions raised have been used to update our FAQs which you can read at www.archaeologists.net/charter/FAQs. If you have questions that don't appear on the FAQs, please do get in touch.
