Trainee Archaeologists, Archaeologists, Senior Archaeologists and Project Officers

Requirements

• Trainee Archaeologists: no experience necessary although some experience of outdoor working would be useful preparation.
• Archaeologists: minimum 6 months commercial experience, CSCS card, PCIfA or equivalent
• Senior Archaeologists, minimum 2 years commercial experience, CSCS card, PCIfA or equivalent
• Project Officers: minimum 5 years commercial experience, CSCS card, ACIfA or equivalent.
• We welcome applications from those who do not quite meet these criteria but who feel they are ready to take on a new challenge

Trainee Archaeologists will be automatically enrolled on our CIfA Approved Training programme, details of which are available on request.

A significant increase in our fieldwork programme means we have an immediate requirement for a range of archaeologists to work on a variety of projects.

Canterbury Archaeological Trust employs a large full-time team of archaeologists and specialist staff, mostly based out of our Canterbury head office. It is one of the UK’s longest established commercial contracting organisations having been founded in 1975. The Trust is also a registered charity with an enviable record for community archaeology, academic and grant-funded research. The Trust operates throughout the UK.
