At the Museum of London we connect people with the lived experience of London. The story we tell is one of place and people, evolving through interaction and exchange. We summarise what we do in three words: We Are London.

In this role you will be working in the Archaeological Archive improving and expanding the archaeological collection information (both contextual and at an object level), building new digital assets, addressing documentation backlogs and resolving legacy inventory issues.

This role is for someone with a background in archaeology, who wants to grow their experience in cataloguing and collections management. We are looking for a goal driven person with the ability to work to tight deadlines and who can work independently as well as in an interdepartmental team.

This role is key to enabling the move of the archaeological collection in preparation for the opening of the New Museum of London. The main purpose of the role is to re-pack, inventorise and barcode site archives, improving our knowledge and physical control of the archaeological collection.
