Summary

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham wants to commission a series of four colour historical reconstruction images of their Valence House moated manor site, in order to show the evolution of the site over several centuries. Recent documentary and architectural research has uncovered a significant amount of evidence for the house, garden, moat and the surrounding farming landscape.

The appointed artist will have a track record of doing architectural and historical visual reconstructions. The format of the reconstructed images will be colour views. Although the reconstruction process is likely to be digital, at least in part, the finished views could be traditionally or digitally painted.

The tender will be judged partly on price and partly on the quality of the artist's tender submission.
