Summary

This position requires that you can effectively operate from the right and left side of your brain at the same time. You need to be analytical, creative and a good problem-solver. You will work directly to our Head of Contracts

Applications are invited for a professional, highly motivated and capable Contracts Manager with a successful track record and developed skills sets. The successful candidate will have experience of successful quoting and tendering for archaeological or similar projects in the construction sector as well as for having financial oversight and understanding of Client accounts, contracts including NEC, and also setting up contracts with suppliers. You will have responsibility for winning work and acquiring new leads, opportunities and customers. The post will be based out of one of our offices where you will work directly to our Head of Contracts. You will have excellent written English and oral communication skills and will be responsible for completing all parts of our quotations and tenders supported by other team members who feed-in necessary information. You will have a forensic attitude to risk and the ability to manage this within contracts. You must also have strong IT skills as you will need to use our in-house CRM system and be accurate and thorough with figures. Some knowledge of British archaeology as practised through the planning system is highly desirable, although exceptional quick-learning candidates without any specific archaeological background will be considered. Training and support will be provided to make sure you hit the ground running. We operate at the high end of the archaeological market with a unique value proposition and approach.
