The CIfA Airborne and Satellite Remote Sensing Group (ASRS in short) was founded in September 2021. As a group we promote the dynamic specialism of aerial archaeology and work to enhance the awareness of ASRS techniques for heritage professionals all the while sharing and providing good practice and CPD training opportunities with group members. We also represent the views, aspirations and professional requirements of its members to the rest of the Institute and campaign for improvements in related practice and expertise.
The CIfA Airborne and Satellite Remote Sensing Group aims to:

• Create a professional standards framework for work in Aerial Archaeology;
• Support the CPD and professional networking of group members and;
• Create links with the European and world-wide Aerial Archaeology Research Group to communicate and share technical developments in our area of expertise.
