RTPI Yorkshire's most popular networking event of the year is back.
Taking place at the beautiful 14th century-listed Hospitium at Museum Gardens in the historic city of York.
Come and join us for a canapés and drinks reception and keynote address, as well as the chance to meet up with friends and colleagues. The evening will also celebrate the very best of planning in our region, with the Presentation of our 2019 Yorkshire Planning Awards.
Our Keynote speaker this year is Harriet Bulkeley, Professor of Geography at Durham University.
Harriet will be speaking on the urban politics of climate change and sustainability.
Nature is increasingly being suggested as a way in which cities can achieve their ambitions for sustainable development. Yet attempts to bring nature into the city remain marginal and efforts to mainstream such efforts are only just beginning.
In this talk Harriet will explore how and why nature might provide solutions for urban sustainability, and the challenges we face in realising this potential.
This event is sure to sell out so please book early to avoid disappointment.
