Following the death of Hal Dalwood in November 2015 (see obituary in TA, January 2016), his brother Dexter and wife Rachel Edwards have set up a memorial fund. This will provide an annual bursary to enable an early career archaeologist of any age to attend the CIfA conference, starting in 2017. The bursary will aim to cover conference attendance, travel and accommodation. It will be open to those in the first ten years of their career in archaeology.
