Join us at the CIfA Wales/Cymru’s Autumn workshop to hear about Cadw’s latest exciting work from across its guardianship estate. Our presenters will explain the drivers for development and look at how these schemes add public value and reveal new information about some of the best known monuments in Wales, whilst complying with Cadw’s Conservation Principles.

Dr Jon Berry, Cadw’s Senior Inspector of Ancient Monuments for South Wales, will provide an introduction to the concept and history of guardianship in Wales.
Ian Miller will speak about Salford’s work at Caernarfon and Ian Brooks will present on his work for Cadw at Porth Mawr and Harlech Castle.
Finally, Dr Jon Berry will discuss the multitude of projects and archaeological requirements arising from Cadw’s £10 million investment at Caerphilly Castle which will bring twenty-first century visitor facilities to this mighty medieval monument.

Taking place online via Zoom on Friday 3 November at 10 am.
