FASIG is pleased to host a webinar presented by Almir Olovcic, a Forensic Archaeologist at ICMP (International Commission on Missing Persons).

The webinar is open to all members and non-members of FASIG. The webinar will discuss the current state of forensic archaeology in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) as illustrated by case study. The case study will examine persistent spatial relations between and among a large amount of surface deposited remains that have been left to a variety of taphonomic processes over a period of 25 years from initial deposition to recovery.

• Almir Olovcic
  Almir Olovcic is currently employed as a Forensic Archaeologist at ICMP (International Commission on Missing Persons). As a part of his job, he conducted extensive excavation and exhumation campaigns, with the aim of recovering human remains of persons missing during 1992-1995 conflicts. Besides archaeology, he holds BSC and MSc Degree in Chemical Engineering, and when he is not involved in forensic work he pursues his passion for archaeometallurgy and archaeometry of prehistorical past of BiH.

From here, you can choose a username, enter a birthday and then finally add the event link that we sent you via email to join the server.
