Accredited members of CIfA are invited to stand for election to the Board of Directors or Advisory Council of the Chartered Institute.

  • Board of Directors - there is one vacancy for the position of Honorary Treasurer as an elected member of the Board.

  • Advisory Council - there are vacancies for 14 elected members of the Advisory Council.

Chartered Institute for Archaeologists launch

Call for UK to ratify Hague Convention on heritage and conflict

IfA’s Chief Executive, supporting representatives of many other organisations and interested individuals, has written to the Daily Telegraph lamenting the lack of progress by the UK in ratifying the Hague Convention on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/letters/10979564/Britain-should-ratif...).

Changes to Executive committee members

News: 

Mark Collard, Hon Vice Chair Personnel and Membership, and Nick Shepherd, Hon Vice Chair Standards have both had to step down from their Executive Committee duties due to work commitments but will remain on Council until the end of their term of office. This resulted in two vacancies on the Executive committee, and in these circumstances current members of Council are asked to co-opt individuals to replace these vacancies until the next AGM.
