Roman military finds workshop

IfA Finds Group has put together a great day of training for all those who want to know more about Roman military finds. You will get the opportunity to learn from leading specialists about military finds, and will take part in handling sessions. At the end of the day, delegates will enjoy a guided tour of the Kingsholm gate.

11:15 – 11:45    Evan Chapman Caerleon Armour

11:45 – 12:00    Tea break

12:00 – 13:00    Handling session on Roman armour and military fittings

13:00 – 14:00    Lunch break (lunch not provided)

14:00 – 14:30    Jane Timby Common military forms

14:30 – 15:30    Handling session of Late Roman pottery

15:30 – 16:15    Guided tour of the Kingsholm gate
