Archaeology Wales works across the UK offering independent services to businesses, communities and individuals, including: consultancy, fieldwork services, desk-based services, surveys, finds analysis and programmes of community engagement.

Our team of archaeologists is led by managing director Mark Houliston (MIfA) and project managers Amelia Pannett (MIfA) and Chris Smith (MIfA). Between us we have over 40 years of experience in successfully managing commercial and private archaeological projects.

Archaeology Wales provides a full range of field services, working on behalf clients to identify, assess and mitigate the impact of proposed developments on surviving archaeological remains. It is in no one’s interest to see archaeology turning up once a development has started, so our aim is always to deal with potential issues as early as possible in the planning process.
