Overview
The Ness of Brodgar Trust (SC044890) seeks tenders for its imminent website project.
The Ness of Brodgar, Orkney has been under excavation for 20 years and now moves into its post-excavation phase. We want to deliver much of our post-excavation reporting, and to continue the site’s focus for heritage tourism, via a dedicated open-access website.
Methodology and outputs
This stage of the project is focussed on creating a framework for a new project website to incorporate a variety of media to make a site of value and interest to diverse communities.
The successful applicant will work with the project core team and dedicated webmaster
- to determine and design the structure for the new website
- to provide training to the webmaster & others in website development and management
- to work with the webmaster to migrate website https://www.nessofbrodgar.co.uk to new site
- to effect placement of new site to a secure server and to undertake maintenance over a period of 10 years
- to create a sustainable, open and accessible website in conformance with HLF guidelines (PDF)
Timeline
Work to be completed between 1 January 2025 and 31 December 2025.
Budget
£37000 including VAT.
