Minerals and archaeology guide survey for England

The Minerals and Historic Environment Forum (MHEF) is undertaking a data-gathering exercise to help us understand current issues and to inform the revision of the Mineral Extraction & Archaeology: A Practice Guide, first published in 2008. We are keen to get first hand views of relevant stakeholders and practitioners and this provides an opportunity for us to hear about your experiences and your views.

Thank you for your time in completing the survey at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/TB75G5Y, which should take around 20 minutes. The results will be invaluable in ensuring the revised document is relevant and useful. This survey complements a poll of ALGAO members to gather additional data and the curatorial perspective.

MHEF is an English umbrella body with representation from the Mineral Products Association, CBI Minerals Group, British Aggregates Association, Mining Association UK, Planning Officers Society, Association of Local Government Archaeological Officers, Chartered Institute for Archaeologists, Federation of Archaeological Managers and Employers and Historic England.

The survey will be open from Monday 30 November until 5pm on Monday 21 December. www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/TB75G5Y
