Further consultations: The World Bank and Historic Environment Scotland

The World Bank is continuing to formulate a revised Environmental and Social Framework for projects which it funds. This provides an opportunity to influence archaeological work carried out in the course of World Bank projects through the world and to encourage best practice and consistent professional standards. The Institute contributed to the consultation on the first draft of the framework in 2014 and its comments on the second draft can be found here

Historic Environment Scotland continues to revise and enlarge its Managing Change in the Historic Environment series of guidance notes. The latest draft guidance note concerns World Heritage Sites. CIfA’s comments on the draft can be read here
