Conference on the reuse of Industrial Heritage

Historic England has teamed up with the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Prince’s Regeneration Trust to sponsor a major national Conference on the reuse of Industrial Heritage to be held at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester on 1-2 December. The aim of the conference is to highlight the challenges and benefits associated with the reuse of industrial heritage, as well as the important contribution it can make to economic growth.

The first day will be focused more on the role of public bodies and the private sector in the reuse of industrial buildings, while day 2 is aimed at providing support and advice for community groups working in this sphere.

Anyone interested in attending can book for just one day or both. With a wide-ranging programme and fantastic range of speakers, it promises to be an important event for all those with an interest in the subject. Details of the programme, including booking information, are available on the conference website www.ih2015.org.uk.

It would be great if you could join us at the Industrial Heritage Conference and help us make it a big success.
