Chartered Institute for Archaeologists Launch and Annual General Meeting

On the 9 December 2014, the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA) will officially launch at the Museum of London. All members will be invited to celebrate the occasion as well as discuss the future of CIfA and what chartered status means to the sector.
CIfA will also be holding its Annual General Meeting at the launch and are inviting accredited corporate members to stand for election to the Board of Directors or the Advisory Council for the Chartered Institute. We are looking for nominations to the following positions:

  • Board of Directors - there are vacancies for the position of Honorary Chair and five elected members of the Board.

  • Advisory Council - there are vacancies for 12 elected members of the Advisory Council.

Offering your time to support CIfA at this critical time offers a unique insight into the development of a professional practices, accreditation and tangible outcomes for individual archaeologists. We are particularly keen to receive nominations from all specialist groups across our members to ensure that there is greater representation across the Board of Directors and Advisory Council.
Candidate forms must arrive to the IfA office by Monday 27 October 2014.

Corporate members will be invited to vote for candidates in a postal ballot if the number of candidates exceeds the number of vacancies. Ballot papers, accompanied by information and an election statement of the candidates, will be distributed to members and the ballot will run from 17 November to 2 December 2014 inclusive.
