AGM 2012: election invitations for Council

To fill vacancies that will arise at the 2012 AGM, Corporate members are invited to stand for election to the Council, to honorary officer posts of the Executive committee and for the Membership Appeals committee, by completing the forms attached below.
There are vacancies for nine candidates for election as Council members for 2012-15
There are vacancies for the posts of Hon Chair, Hon Treasurer and Hon Vice Chair Standards for 2012-15
All members of the Membership Appeals committee will retire at the AGM. The MAC consists of three appointed Council members and three elected Corporate members who are not Council members. Corporate members are invited to stand for election to the MAC.
Candidate forms for each election (Council, Officers, MAC) must arrive at the IfA office in Reading by Friday 10 August 2012. Corporate members will be invited to vote for the candidates in a postal ballot if the number of candidates exceeds the number of vacancies. Ballot papers, accompanied by information and an election statement of the candidates, will be distributed to members and the ballot will run from 3 September to 22 September 2012 inclusive.
Resolutions and statements are invited from any Corporate member. They will be notified/circulated to the membership provided they have the support of one-twentieth of the Corporate members, and are received at the IfA office by the appropriate deadline (see detailed timetable for the run-up to the 2012 AGM enclosed). At the time of writing, the Institute has 2191 Corporate members, so the relevant number is 109. Council, at its discretion, may accept agenda items submitted by individuals or smaller groups of members.
