Localism Act 2011
The Localism Act 2011 – which has implications for planning reform in England – received Royal Assent on 15 November. The Act introduces far-reaching planning reform with the abolition of Regional Spatial Strategies and of the Infrastructure Planning Commission together with changes to the Community Infrastructure Levy and the introduction of planning enforcement orders. Neighbourhood planning (neighbourhood development plans and orders including community right to build)is set to see signifcant reform.
