Decision on South Yorkshire Archaeology Service

IfA has been thanked for its interventions by councillors of the four authorities served by SYAS. They have made it clear that the decision by Sheffield City Council to cut funds by 50% was a unilateral decision by the previous administration. The previously agreed 15% cut has been reinstated, and it has been confirmed that all four authorities would need to agree any changes to the terms of an existing service agreement.
