These day schools, which are free to CBA and AIA members who comment on listed buildings, are continuing into 2010.
The north-east regional day school will be held at the Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineering in Newcastle on Tuesday November 24th, 2009, with talks on the coal and salt industry and the recording of engineering buildings, with a field visit round the Stephenson Quarter.
The south-west regional day school will take place on Tuesday February 24th, 2010, at the X-Centre in Exeter with talks on water mills, stone quarrying and the textile industry with a field visit to Cricklepit Mill.
The south-east regional day school will take place at the Percy Arms, Chilworth, Surrey, on Saturday March 20th, 2010, with talks on the gunpowder industry, paper mills and cooperation between archaeologists and wildlife interest and a field visit to the Chilworth gunpowder and paper mills sites.
