Advertisers
Advertisements can be placed in JIS for a fee of £50 for a single paragraph – ideal for digging jobs, at £100 for a standard size (175mm wide by 110mm deep). Larger adverts will be charged more, up to £250, for an A4 sheet; please enquire. Final copy should be emailed to Lynne Bevan at the address below, to arrive no later than 2pm on Tuesday to appear in Wednesday's bulletin. Please send advertisements as simple word documents without complex formatting or logos. We are unable to accept PDF files.
Camera ready copy should be sent to: Lynne Bevan, IfA Jobs Information Service, 80 Durley Dean Road, Selly Oak, Birmingham, B29 6RX. Email: bevanlynne1@yahoo.co.uk.
Advertisers are reminded of IfA recommended minimum starting salaries from 1 April 2009. The minima for 2010/11 remain as they were for the last financial year, where they were increased in line with inflation, measured by CPI (3.2% on 1 April). However the IfA is committed to a target increase in minimum salaries of 13% above inflation until 2013. Information on the IfA's minimum employment package can be found here.
An alternative job service, providing on-line details of jobs placed by paying advertisers, is provided by the British Archaeological Jobs Resource, www.bajr.org. IFA's Jobs Information Service and BAJR are not competitors, but offer different and complementary services for those seeking archaeological staff or employment.
