IfA Conference 2010 - Online Booking
The 2010 IfA Conference for Archaeologists will run form 14 - 16 April 2010 at the Southport Theatre and Convention Centre. To book your place at the 2010 conference either download the booking form and send it to the office with a cheque or a Purchase order OR you can book and pay online by debit or credit card using PayPal (scroll down). The provisional programme and timetable are also available to download (both PDF documents)
Owing to the popularity of the IfA Conference early booking is strongly advised. Bookings received after the 5 March are not eligible for the early bird rate and cannot be guaranteed a place.
The conference registration fee includes attendance to all of the conference sessions, lunch, tea, coffee and biscuits (for the days that you have booked), and the wine reception. Please give details of any dietary requirements on the booking form or online.
If you are booking as student/unwaged you must provide the office with a photocopy of your student ID or proof of your unwaged status. There is a small bursary available to IfA members to help cover the cost of the conference. If you would be interested in applying for funding please send a covering letter along with the booking form or email the conference@archaeologists.net explaining your circumstances.
Catering
Lunch and tea, coffee and biscuits are included in the conference registration fee.
There will be two conference dinners at this year's conference. On Wednesday evening the dinner will be held in the Floral Hall and will cost £41 per person. Four bottles of wine per table (of 10) are included in the price. Thursday night's evening meal and party should also be prebooked and costs £15.
Confirmation of booking and information about registration (where and when) will be sent in advance of the conference – if you book in time.
Accommodation
There are a wide range of hotels and B&Bs in Southport offering a range of rooms for conference delegates. Bookings can be made via Southport Conferences and ConferenceBOOKINGS.co.uk (please enter the reference STH2010IFA into the 'delegates' box) or by calling the Tourist Information Centre on 01704 533333, quoting Event Code STH2010IFA
If delegates wish to book childcare facilities we have been provided with a list of day nurseries, creches and child minders by Sefton Council.
Conference Registration
Pre registration is now closed. If you still wish to come you can book on the day. lease register at the IfA registration desk at the venue.
