Graphic Archaeology Group (GAG)

Background

This Special Interest Group will focus on issues relating to standards, training and employment for those working in archaeological illustration and survey. This group was formerly called the Illustration and Survey special interest group.

Join the Group

Membership of the Group is open to anybody working in the various disciplines producing archaeological graphics in the broadest sense. IfA members may join the group for free, while non-members are asked to pay a £10.00 fee to cover mailing costs. Please email groups@archaeologists.net.

Activities

The group regularly hold events and contribute to the knowledge about this area of archaeological practice

Dr John Hodgson carried out a survey of the profession, which can be seen below. We intent to carry out further research into the future provision of training for practitioners of archaeological graphics was agreed.
